| Further information Please note parent spectators are allowed - but you must sign in at reception and be taken by a QEGS staff member to the sports hall.
The tournament runs from 12.30 - 16.30 at QEGS. We will meet at 11.00 by the dance studio to make sure we're there in good time. You need to bring: Water bottles Any medication you require Full Windermere PE kit with tracksuits for travel. Note - you can come to school wearing your tracksuits, no need to bring uniform. If you have your own racket you may bring it, alternatively, let us know which one we should bring for you after Monday's practice. Packed lunches will be provided. Please make sure you come to practice on Monday, as you will need to prepare for singles / doubles combinations and ensure you are confident scoring. Thanks. Miss E
Squads will consist of 5 players with any 4 players selected in the team taking part in each match. The Each match will consist of 5 games: 2 x singles and 3 x doubles, with each player playing 2 games. This is shown in the playing format for a selected players shall be arranged in order by their singles strength (regardless of age).match below:
1st Game: Singles (No.1 ranked player in the team). 2nd Game: Doubles (the 2 players not selected for a singles game). 3rd Game: Singles (No. 2 or 3 ranked player chosen for singles). 4th Game: Doubles (first singles player + either one of non-singles players). 5th Game: Doubles (second singles player + the other non-singles player).
If a player withdraws during a game then that game is conceded. The 5th player may then be substituted in to further games in that match. For each match, a score sheet (provided) must be completed and signed by both Team Managers. Team Managers are responsible for ensuring that the results on the sheets are correct.
